Spine & Scoliosis
Indications
At Heal Physio Rehab, we provide targeted rehabilitation for a range of spinal conditions affecting posture, movement, and nerve health. Whether it’s scoliosis in growing children, degenerative spine changes in adults, or disc-related injuries, our goal is to relieve pain, correct movement patterns, and restore proper spinal function. Each treatment is tailored to your condition, with an emphasis on hands-on therapy, postural correction, and guided exercises to support long-term improvement.

Scoliosis
Scoliosis in children often develops during growth spurts and can worsen if left untreated. At Heal Physio Rehab, our physiotherapist is a certified Schroth Method practitioner, trained in non-surgical scoliosis-specific rehabilitation. We assess spinal curvature and posture in detail, then use corrective exercises, breathing techniques, and in some cases, Pilates Reformer-based training to address asymmetry, improve alignment, and prevent progression. Early intervention during growth is key to long-term spine health.

Adult Scoliosis
Adult scoliosis may result from unresolved childhood curvature or age-related spinal degeneration. It often causes stiffness, back pain, and muscle imbalance. We provide Schroth-based therapy and tailored rehabilitation to manage symptoms, improve posture, and slow curve progression. With techniques that include manual therapy, targeted strengthening, and spinal mobility work, we help patients reduce discomfort and maintain an active lifestyle.

Slip Disc (Herniated Disc)
A slipped or herniated disc occurs when spinal disc material presses on nearby nerves, causing pain, numbness, or weakness in the limbs. At Heal Physio Rehab, we focus on relieving pressure on the nerve through decompression techniques, spinal mobility, core activation, and postural retraining. Treatment is personalised to your pain level and function goals, helping you return to daily and work activities with confidence and less pain.

Spondylolisthesis
Spondylolisthesis happens when one vertebra slips forward over another, often causing back pain, stiffness, or nerve symptoms. Our therapy includes stabilisation exercises, deep core strengthening, and posture correction to reduce strain on the spine. We work to improve spinal control and protect against further progression, helping you manage pain and move safely with a stronger, more stable spine.

Spondylosis
Spondylosis refers to age-related wear and tear in the spine, often leading to stiffness, chronic pain, or reduced range of motion. At our clinic, we treat both cervical and lumbar spondylosis with manual therapy, flexibility work, and muscle re-education. By addressing joint mobility, postural imbalances, and core support, we aim to reduce pain and improve daily comfort and function.

Upper or Lower Cross Syndrome
Postural syndromes like upper and lower crossed patterns are common in individuals with sedentary lifestyles or prolonged poor posture. These lead to muscular imbalances, neck or lower back pain, and inefficient movement patterns. We identify and correct these imbalances through postural retraining, strengthening of underactive muscles, and releasing overactive ones. This approach helps restore alignment, reduce tension, and improve movement efficiency in daily life or sport.
