Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) strain/tear
The ACL is a key stabilising ligament in the knee, often injured in high-impact or pivoting sports. Whether your ACL injury is mild (strain) or complete (tear), early rehab is critical for regaining knee control and preventing long-term issues. At Heal Physio Rehab, we offer structured ACL rehabilitation programs that include swelling control, range-of-motion exercises, progressive strength training, and neuromuscular retraining. Post-surgical rehab is also available to guide recovery after ACL reconstruction. Our goal is to return you to sport safely and confidently with a stable, responsive knee.

Meniscus Injury
Meniscus injuries are common in twisting or impact sports and can cause sharp knee pain, locking, or swelling. Whether your injury is traumatic or degenerative, we offer rehabilitation focused on restoring joint mobility, reducing inflammation, and strengthening the surrounding muscles. If you've had meniscus surgery, we also provide post-operative care to accelerate healing and prevent re-injury. With a customised approach, we guide your recovery through sport-specific exercises and gradual loading to get you back to running, squatting, or pivoting without hesitation.

Sprained Ankle
Ankle sprains are one of the most frequent sports injuries, often caused by sudden twists, landings, or uneven ground. We treat both acute and chronic ankle sprains by reducing swelling, restoring range of motion, and rebuilding ankle strength and balance. Our rehab focuses on proprioception, stability drills, and sport-specific movement to prevent recurrent sprains. Whether you're a runner, footballer, or dancer, we’ll guide your recovery so you can return to activity with better control, reduced pain, and a lower risk of future injury.

Tennis Elbow
Tennis elbow is an overuse injury of the forearm tendons, often caused by repetitive gripping or wrist movements — not just in tennis players, but also in golfers, weightlifters, or desk workers. At Heal Physio Rehab, we provide pain-relieving treatment such as soft tissue release, tendon loading exercises, and ergonomic correction. As symptoms improve, we focus on rebuilding forearm strength and functional tolerance to prevent flare-ups. Whether sport or work-related, our approach restores comfort and long-term elbow function.

Muscle Strain
Muscle strains occur when fibres are overstretched or torn, typically during explosive movements or inadequate warm-ups. Common sites include the hamstrings, calves, quadriceps, and groin. At Heal Physio Rehab, we assess the grade of strain and tailor your rehab to the healing stage — starting with swelling control and gentle mobility, then progressing to strengthening, flexibility, and return-to-sport drills. Our goal is to support complete muscle recovery, prevent compensation patterns, and reduce the risk of re-injury through guided progressive loading.

Rotator Cuff Injury
Rotator cuff injuries are common in overhead and throwing sports like swimming, badminton, tennis, and weight training. They may involve tendon inflammation, partial tears, or degenerative changes, leading to pain, weakness, and reduced range of motion in the shoulder. At Heal Physio Rehab, we offer a structured rehab program to improve joint stability, activate underused muscles, and restore overhead function. Treatment includes manual therapy, rotator cuff strengthening, postural correction, and functional retraining. Whether it's a minor strain or post-surgical recovery, our goal is to help you return to sport with a strong and pain-free shoulder.

Runner’s Knee (Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome)
Runner’s knee refers to pain around or behind the kneecap, often aggravated by running, squatting, stairs, or prolonged sitting. It's commonly caused by poor tracking of the patella due to muscular imbalance, overuse, or alignment issues. At Heal Physio Rehab, we address the root cause through hip and knee strengthening, soft tissue release, taping, and gait retraining. We also assess running mechanics and footwear to prevent recurrence. Our personalised rehab helps athletes return to pain-free activity and long-term performance without compensations.

Shin Splints (Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome)
Shin splints are a common overuse injury, particularly in runners, dancers, and athletes with sudden increases in training volume. They cause aching or sharp pain along the inner shin, often worsened by impact activities. At Heal Physio Rehab, we treat shin splints by correcting biomechanics, reducing inflammation, and improving lower limb strength and flexibility. We focus on calf conditioning, load management, and foot posture correction. With guided progression and return-to-running plans, we help you recover fully and prevent future flare-ups.

Achilles Tendinopathy
Achilles tendinopathy involves pain and stiffness in the Achilles tendon, typically caused by repetitive strain from running, jumping, or sudden directional changes. At Heal Physio Rehab, we treat both acute and chronic tendon injuries using evidence-based loading programs, soft tissue release, eccentric strengthening, and mobility work. We also address contributing factors like calf tightness, poor ankle control, and footwear issues. Our goal is to reduce pain, rebuild tendon resilience, and support a safe return to sport with long-term tendon health.

Plantar Fasciitis
Plantar fasciitis causes sharp heel or arch pain, especially with the first steps in the morning or after long periods of standing. It commonly affects runners, walkers, and individuals with flat feet or poor footwear support. At Heal Physio Rehab, we manage plantar fasciitis through foot mobilisation, calf and plantar fascia stretching, strengthening of intrinsic foot muscles, and gait correction. Taping and orthotic advice may also be included. Our treatment plan reduces strain on the fascia and improves shock absorption to get you back on your feet comfortably.
